Visible Mending Workshop

Mending is an eco-friendly way to extend the life of beloved items, be it your favourite sweater, t-shirt, or socks, anything can be mended! It is not only limited to repairing damages or imperfections, we can also add our personal touch to create one of a kind designs.

In this 3-hour mending class, you will learn the basics on how to mend creatively; techniques such as visible and invisible mending, darning, weaving, and much more.

Please bring an item that you would like to mend to this workshop and we will put our heads together to see which will be the best technique suitable for your item.

Stitch by stitch, you will discover the joy and satisfaction of mending clothes by hand in a mindful way.

Experience
No level of experience is needed, this workshop is beginner friendly.

Needed for this workshop:
A garment that needs mending, knitted and/or a woven fabric. This can be a pair of jeans, your favorite jumper or some socks you want to mend. If you love to learn more about mending knitwear, bring along a knitted square (approx 20cm x 20cm) and or knitwear to repair.

Included in the workshop is the use of:

• embroidery hoop
• embroidery floss
• embroidery needles

After the class, there is an option to purchase hoops, extra thread, and needles with a 10% discount.

Minimum amount of participants: 3*

We have a 48 hour cancellation policy. Any cancellations that occur 48 hours or more before the scheduled workshop are eligible for a refund or (if possible) to be re-booked at no additional cost.
