Susan Briscoe writes and designs for patchwork and quilting magazines and teaches patchwork and sashiko quilting in the UK and overseas. A graduate of UCW Aberystwyth, she began quilting and working as an Assistant English Teacher on the JET (Japan Exchange Teaching) programme in Yuza-machi, Japan, in the early 1990s. Although she specialises in Japanese textile themes, she is passionate about Britain’s quilting heritage. She has written over 10 books on quilting, including three books on patchwork bags and two books on Japanese Sashiko. Susan lives in Scotland, UK.
