The needles’ gold-eye plating and unique elliptical design make for easy thready and lasting comfort in use. The needles themselves are made of steel, of which the particular hardness is obtained through extremely high temperature treatment and tempering. This makes Clover’s Sashiko needles harder to break and bend, and makes them a pleasure to use.
The steel is nickel-plated for smooth sewing, making your needles slide through fabric with ease. Sharp needle points make for precision in your sewing, mending and embroidery.

Clover started in 1925, in Japan, with Mr Toshio Okada. In 1948 he gave his company the name Clover after the Clover leaves he had used to book mark his pages throughout his days in college. The company began as a wholesaler of needles and craft items, it didn’t take long for the company to turn its hand to manufacturing.
In 1983 Clover USA was established where quilting items and sewing notions were added to their collection.
