The Blue Rabbit House – Project Bag

These fantastic project bags are great for all projects from socks to whole sweaters.

Designs exclusively made for and only available at Cross & Woods are:

  • Fraser, the Scottish Blackface
  • Janine, the flower sheep
  • Lisa, the red squirrel
  • Rolf, the Norwegian wolf
  • The lastest design ( 2021) is Tilly the Tiger, the first bag with an all round print

The fabric used is GOTS certified 100% organic cotton printed with eco-friendly water-based inks in Berlin, Germany.

All prints are unique illustrations made by The Blue Rabbit House and digitally printed for the most detailed results.

The lining is 100% cotton sourced in Belgium and the interfacing is high quality 100% cotton, to make the bags more durable. A polyester thread is used but it’s sourced from a company that cleans their own water and uses ethically made materials.

Vegan, biodegradable cork is used as finishing details for the project bags and works as the best and most eco-friendly alternative for leather and makes all bags by The Blue Rabbit House 100% vegan.

All bags are sewn in Eva’s small studio in Antwerp, Belgium.

  • The Blue Rabbit House – Project Bag collection is all made entirely from scratch by  Eva Vercauteren, in her studio in Antwerp, Belgium.

“Crafting and drawing has been an important part of my daily life ever since I can remember. Over the years, I can tell my main interest lies in illustration. My source of inspiration comes from nature and more specifically its fauna and flora.

I believe a stunning illustration can be more than just a stunning piece of art. Therefore I’ve been combining crafts with illustrations. I started my business at the beginning of 2011 and I use my illustration as a starting point. My own designs get printed onto fabric and I turn this into handy storage bags. Some designs become a part of my jewellery collections. Most illustrations are available in print.

In 2017, organic cotton fabrics were introduced and more and more products will become more eco-friendly and sustainable.”
