Another edition, Volume 7 of Interpretations is out! This much-loved series are by Joji Locatelli and Veera Välimäki, two extraordinarily talented knitwear designers who just happen to be great friends! If you’re new to the Interpretations series, let us explain! At the centre of each volume are six words, and Joji and Veera create one design each based on their interpretation every word. This innovative approach to design has resulted in some beautiful patterns which are imbued with meaning, and just so happens to combine Pom Pom’s passions of words and knitting!
This year is the first that the dreamy duo haven’t been able to get together to shoot the pattern photography forInterpretations. Due to travel restrictions, Joji and Veera shot their patterns in their respective homelands of Argentina and Finland. However, we think this volume is just as cohesive as its predecessors and truly reflects the year that 2020 has been, not to mention all the hard work Joji and Veera put into this volume during a global pandemic!
Volume 7 is now available! By pre-ordering, you’ll be one of the first to receive Volume 7 from 23rd November 2020, its official on-sale date!
The pattern previews will also go live on 23rd November 2020, but for now, here’s some sneak peeks to whet your yarny appetites and to give you a flavour of the volume’s themes!
So here is to another Interpretations Volume 7, but if your back issue collection of Interpretations is missing a few volumes, then we still have copies available of Vol.4, Vol.5, & Vol.6!
Pom Pom Press
Pom Pom was founded in 2012 as a quarterly magazine that would present knitting, crochet, and craft in the modern, beautiful, and meaningful way. Mainly conceived as a collection of patterns complemented by thoughtful writing and useful tutorials, Pom Pom also celebrates the joy of making, hopefully without taking it all too seriously!
