michiyo has been designing knit and crochet wear since 1998, and is one of the most notable and prolific contributors to Japanese needlework. She has authored over twenty knitting pattern books and created hundreds of designs for clothing and accessories for women, men and children.

Gayle Roehm has lived in Japan and studied the language for many years. She has knit from Japanese patterns for most of her knitting life. Gayles teaches frequently at knitting gatherings around the country.
