CaMaRose – ‘Hydrangeas Hat’ Knitting Pattern Lamauld

My name is Trine Bertelsen, I am a yarn wholesaler and owner of CaMaRose.dk. I founded my single woman company in 2010, then under the name Strikkebogen.dk, where it began as a web shop, where I sold my own designs in the form of knit and crochet patterns, for babies and children. In late 2010, I started importing yarn in my own name from Peru and it was also this year that I got my first dealers. To start with, I only had the Pima cotton and the Lama cotton 1/2, but soon I began to expand my range of quality yarns and have developed qualities that were not already there, such as. min Lamatweed.

Several of my qualities can be used for the same recipes then, they have the same knitting strength. This is the case with e.g. Pima cotton, Yaku (superwashed merino wool). Organic Summer wool or Thin Lama wool (however, the last mentioned quality is not suitable for a circular knit in smooth, with a thread, but can either be knit together with another thread, or in two colorful knits). I have been working on designing and writing knitting and crochet patterns since 2008, and I have many years of experience in developing and writing recipes. Before founding my own business, I worked as a freelance knit designer for other wholesalers at home and abroad, for weekly magazines and knitting magazines. The experience I have gained from working for others has been absolutely indispensable and I am even convinced that designing and writing a good knitting / crochet pattern is something that takes many years to learn and it is something you still need to learn. develop.

From the very beginning of 2010, it has been my 3 children who have inspired me to design and they continue to be my daily sources of inspiration. Therefore, it was also obvious when in 2015 I chose to change the name of my company from the Strikkebogen to CaMaRose.dk, as this is an abbreviation of my 3 children’s names, Carl-Emil, Mathilde and Anna-Rose.

My mission with my company, from the beginning, has been to be able to sell quality yarn in my own name, which is not otherwise found on the market and at an affordable price. Next, I have chosen to cooperate with suppliers who comply with ethical and environmental regulations regarding animals and the environment in the production of yarn. In addition, my goal has been to make knitting and crochet patterns that are easy to access and that also affect the trends of the time.
