A locally hand-dyed sock yarn from Olivia & Oliver. Keeping to her traditional colour palette, of soft, muted tints, this super soft superwash merino has the addition of nylon making it the perfect yarn for socks. You can of course knit other things with the yarn! The yarn has a 2ply high twist meaning that it has really great stitch definition.

“Hello, my name is Tam!
I am a Californian living in The Netherlands with my Dutch husband and our two amazing kids. I started this company in 2019 when I was pregnant with my daughter and landed in the hospital at 33 weeks. I was required to stay on bed rest in my hospital room until I could be induced at 37 weeks, which meant I had four weeks to watch Netflix and knit. It was in those four weeks that I remembered how much I loved to knit and I decided to start this company.
I have been knitting since I was six, but never fully immersed myself into it until my hospital stay and the Covid-19 lockdown that immediately followed. It was during that lockdown that I also discovered my love for dyeing yarn. I went to university for studio arts and have always loved color theory, and dyeing yarn was the perfect way to bring two of my passions together.
I spent nine years running a small business (Sugarlips Cakes) with my husband, and after we sold it I knew that this company was my next step. I have always loved being a small business owner and am so grateful that I get to spend my days doing what I love. I am so appreciative for all of the support and thank you all for letting me do what I love! “
