Pauline Copin Herriot created her brand of hand dyed yarn ‘Lain’amourée’ in October 2015. Nestled in Loire Valley, her small business has been growing and developing ever since.
Today, Pauline and her husband Tristan are working together within the company to passionately create for those who love beautiful materials.
Meaning of Lain’Amourée:
- Laine : fibres of soft and thick hair, long or short, from the fleece of sheep, goats, angora rabbits. Transformed into yarn to knit.
- Enamoure: being in love with love
- Lain’amourée : A love for wool, being in love with how the soft fibres change in your hands by the pigments in the dye.
Their dyes are certified without heavy metals and dyes are not toxic to health. Laine’amourée trying their best to work in ways to preserve the environment and minimizing most of the environmental impact of their dyeing process.
