Yipee Yarn – Merino Sock Yarn

Yipee Yarn’s Merino Sock yarn is a super soft superwash sock yarn. This base of Merino Sock Yarn is exclusively hand-dyed for Cross & Woods by local indie dyer Janine Camijn.

Janine Camijn is the proud owner behind Yipee Yarn.
She lives in the beautiful historic city Delft in The Netherlands.
Not only is she a “yarn investigator”, music lover, nature lover, mother of 2, and a sucker for pink and retro/vintage stuff. She is incredibly inspired by music, art, nature, everyday things, and sometimes daringly just lets the colours flow their own way. If you’re lucky you might catch her in person at our store, as she is a member of our Cross & Woods team as well. Janine dyes a broad palette, from semi-solids to speckles or self-striping yarns. Her yarn is always a feast for the eyes and needles!

All Yipee Yarn is locally hand-dyed by her and the wool is 100% mulesing-free. She always aims to make the most sustainable choices possible for her small business. So all of her yarn labels are printed locally and on recycled paper. She makes sure to not waste any water and uses solar energy from her own solar panels for heating. Yipee Yarns are dyed with acid dyes as well as natural dyes.
