Upcycled Denim Amsterdam are a bunch of denim enthusiasts, interior specialists & planet conscious individuals giving denim off-cuts a new life.
In 2017 they decided to gather their resources, carry out some research and pursue their passions. The result of this was the birth of Upcycled Denim Amsterdam.
Their roots lie in the interior design sector, so they thought there would be no better place to start in the world of denim (sustainable denim) other than to create a collection for the home.
(With a few extra bits to compliment the Upcycled Denim fabrics)
Their mission is to play a part in the reduction of the denim carbon footprint. When it comes to cotton and the production of any textile, we all know it’s a bit of a messy industry. As an Earth-positive brand, they are driven by four core values; sustainability, responsibility, awareness and style.
The first step towards making change is to be aware of what can be done.
Upcycling denim is the method of transforming leftover material from the jeans production process into a higher quality fabric. It’s a whole lot different to recycling, upcycling typically requires little energy input and can eliminate the need for a new product from virgin materials.
