What you will practice with this sewing pattern: how to sew an elasticated waistband, how to line a bib, how to assemble shoulder straps with or without ruffles, how to sew patch pockets.

Age range: 6, 12, 18, 24 months, 3, 4 years

Material suggestions:

  • double gauze, poplin, cambric, batiste, plumetis
  • denim, seersucker, linen, chambray, corduroy, light jacquard
  • sweat, milano, french terry

Ikatee have a video to help you make this project – watch here

ERRATUM:

There was a small mistake in the first edition of the Milano dress tutorial! This concerns the step of sewing piping around the bib, which is explained in step 16 instead of 9.
