A girl’s dress & blouse sewing pattern. Stella makes a girly and charming outfit with a loose fit, convenient for all seasons.
Features: Long sleeves or tanktop versions / Front and back side yokes / Gathers and ruffles / Back opening with a button / Binding at neckline and armholes for the tanktop version / Dress at under-knee length / Dress «skirt» to be lined depending on main fabric
Sewing level: Intermediate
What you will learn with this sewing pattern: how to sew a back opening with button and loop, how to sew ruffles, how to sew a bias binding at neckline.
Age range: 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 years
Material suggestions:
- Main fabric:
Cotton : poplin, light twill, batist double gauze, Thin denim or chambray, Thin twill, Linen, Cotton viscose or viscose 100%. Preferably use thinner fabrics over thick ones (as they are not suitable for gathering).
- Second Fabric for the lining:
Poplin or batiste in cotton or polyester for the dress lining. The lining is necessary if your main fabric is a little transparent for any season or too thin for a fall winter season.
No need for lining with the blouse view.
