Knitting in the Round Workshop

Wrap your mind around circular knitting!

Join Sara in this two hour workshop where we cover the joys of circular knitting. We’ll start with knitting in the round on double pointed needles and move forward to circular knitting needles and the magic of the magic loop technique. We’ll cover sticking points such as joins, ladders and spirals. We’ll finish up with a discussion on when to use these techniques. By the end you’ll be able to knit in the round with ease!

This class is open to all abilities levels with the expectation that you can cast on, and knit & purl without help. 

In this class you will:

• Learn how to knit in the round on Double Pointed Needles (DPN’s)
• Learn how to knit in the round on circular needles
• Master to knit in the round seamlessly 
  
• Learn how to knit Magic Loop

Classes

You can book this class with or without materials included. If you choose to bring your own materials, preferably bring wooden or bamboo (circular) needles that match the thickness of your thread.

Materials included:

• 1 ball of yarn (colour of your choice)
• 1 pair of circular knitting needles

You’ll take these home after class.

No materials included:

• Bring your own yarn and matching DPN’s AND circular needles, preferably thickness 3-4mm

The class takes approximately 2 hours. We’ll provide you with plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits.
Classes on Saturdays take place from 10.30 – 12.30.

We have a 48 hour cancellation policy. Any cancellations that occur 48 hours or more before the scheduled workshop are eligible for a refund or (if possible) to be re-booked at no additional cost.

In deze 2 uur durende workshop ontdek je samen met Sara het gemak en plezier van het rondbreien. We starten de les met het rondbreien op sokkennaalden (naalden zonder knop). Daarna gaan we door naar het breien met een rondbreinaald en het breien met de ‘magic loop’ techniek. We behandelen de lastige dingen zoals naadloze overgangen en het voorkomen van ladders. Ten slotte bespreken we welke techniek je wanneer toepast zodat je met het grootste gemak voortaan zelf in de rondte kan breien!

Deze les is toegankelijk voor iedereen die kan zelfstandig steken kan opzetten, recht en averechte steken kan breien.

In deze les leer je:

• rondbreien op sokkennaalden
• rondbreien op een rondbreinaald
• naadloos rondbreien
• breien met de ‘ magic loop’ techniek

Lessen

Je kunt de workshop met en zonder materiaal inbegrepen boeken. Als je kiest om zelf de materialen mee te nemen, let dan goed op dat je het liefst houten of bamboo (rondbrei)naalden meeneemt, voor de juiste dikte garen.

Materiaal inbegrepen:

• 1 bol wol (kleur naar keuze)
• 1 rondbreinaald

Deze mag je na de les mee naar huis nemen om verder aan de slag te gaan.

Geen materiaal inbegrepen:

• Breng je eigen garen en bijbehorende maat sokkennaalden EN rondbreinaalden mee, het liefst iets tussen de 3-4mm

De les duurt ongeveer 2 uur. We houden je zoet met thee, koffie en iets lekkers.
Onze breilessen duren op zaterdagen van 10.30-12.30.

Tijdens de les ontvang je 10% korting op alle breigerelateerde benodigdheden voor je breiproject. *

Afzeggen kan tot 48 uur voor de les. Wij vragen je daarom de workshop uiterlijk 48 uur van te voren af te zeggen, zodat we deze dan kosteloos voor je kunnen verplaatsen (indien mogelijk) of kunnen vergoeden.
