Brioche is probably one of the most complicated sounding techniques in knitting that has been scaring off even the bravest of the craft. In reality it is quite simple once you learn the essentials. This master class takes a bite out of brioche and you will learn the ins and outs of this amazing technique.
Alexandra, the designer behind Purl Bear Designs, will cover the basics of brioche knitting. Packed with tons of practice and personal guidance, learning you all the handy tricks you need to know to dive into the world of two colour brioche.

ABOUT THE CLASS
For this class materials are not included. You are more than welcome to bring your own materials or buy the right materials before the class starts. During the class you will receive a 10% discount on all the knitting related materials you’ll get for your brioche project. *
If you choose to bring your own materials, please bring 2 balls of DK or Worsted weight yarn in two contrasting colours and a circular needle. Your circular needles need to match the thickness of your chosen yarn and have a long enough cord, not shorter than 30cm.
Level: This is an advanced beginner to advanced knitter workshop.
Skills required: casting on, knitting and purling, increasing and decreasing.
Language: English (Dutch speaking staff is present)
The class takes approximately 2.5 hours, starting 1.30PM. Please arrive 5-10 minutes before your class starts. We’ll provide you with plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits.
ABOUT THE TEACHER
Alexandra Atepaeva is a knitwear designer (Purl Bear Designs) who lives in The Hague. She is working as an entrepreneur and mostly focusing on knitwear design. Previously she has also taught Visual Creativity courses that she developed herself and founded a creative community in The Hague called Co-inspired. Alexandra enjoys sharing her passion for knitting and helping others master new skills and gain confidence to achieve their crafting goals.
