TENCEL™ lyocell is a regenerated cellulose fiber based on wood as a raw material (like viscose), and it is loved by many for some very good reasons:

    • Peachy soft touch with a characteristic 'chalky' finish
    • Fluid drape with more body than viscose
    • Less creasing than most viscose and cotton
    • High comfort with efficient moisture management and natural breathability
    • Antistatic fibers that don't cling to the body or other materials
    • Antibacterial properties (requires less washing)

TENCEL™ Lyocell is an important contributor to the development of a more responsible textile industry, as it is produced in a closed circuit with minimal environmental impact due to high recovery and (re)use rates for both solvents and wastewater in the entire production process. In addition, all raw material (wood) is sourced from FSC® and PEFC-certified responsible forestry.
TENCEL™ labelled lyocell fibers are manufactured by Lenzing, the only company entitled to use the TENCEL™ trademark. Lyocell fibres from other manufacturers are most likely not produced with the same minimal environmental impact as the fibres from Lenzing.
