    DESCRIPTION

    Join Marie for an engaging introduction session, designed for beginners to explore the world of weaving, while repurposing your leftover yarn and fabric scraps into stunning works of art.

    Get ready to transform your stash or scraps into something beautiful! Bring along your leftover yarn and/or fabric scraps from craft projects and let's turn them into unique, handwoven masterpieces. This class is perfect to unleash your creativity and weave your own personalized wall hanging, adding warmth and personality to your space.

    As you arrive, the looms will be ready for you, allowing you to simply sit, unwind, and enjoy. At the end of this workshop, you will have created your very own woven textile, that you can use as a wall hanging, or make into a pillow or incorporate into a bigger piece later on. 

    Join us for an inspiring and relaxing experience, where you can let your imagination run wild and turn your scraps into art!

     

    ABOUT THE CLASS

    The class includes the use of a loom, already set up for you to start weaving. You will have to bring your own leftovers/scraps of yarn and or fabrics. You can also buy extra materials before/during the class, you will receive a 10% discount on all related materials you’ll get for your weaving project. *

    The class takes 2 hours, starting 11.30AM, please arrive 5-10 minutes before your class starts. We’ll provide you with plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits.


    ABOUT THE TEACHER

    Marie, a French textile artist and weaving instructor with 9 years of weaving experience, currently resides in the Netherlands. Marie's teaching approach emphasizes that there are no mistakes in weaving, only creative choices, a philosophy deeply rooted in her own experience with Saori weaving. She believes in empowering her students with essential tools and knowledge while encouraging them to understand the "why" behind traditional techniques, fostering a diverse range of creative ideas and solutions. Marie finds immense reward in providing people with a creative outlet and encouraging them to express themselves freely.
